Our Story
The vision for SPARKMilwaukee was shaped not only by research and best practice, but by the personal story of our founder, Anne Osmon, and the influence of her father, Dr. David Osmon, a retired neuropsychologist and AI enthusiast. Dr. Osmon spent his career studying how the brain develops, and how environments shape human potential. His lifelong fascination with cognition and emerging technology inspired Anne to imagine a school where Montessori developmental science and modern tools could work together to honor childhood.
At SPARKMilwaukee, we take seriously what children take seriously. Our studios are beautiful, orderly, and intentionally prepared, reflecting the Montessori belief that the environment is a teacher. Anne Osmon is an experienced school leader whose career spans more than a decade of operational excellence, enrollment strategy, and community‑centered educational leadership across some of the nation’s most innovative and high‑performing school systems. With a foundation in organizational management at NBCUniversal and Success Academy, Anne quickly became known for her ability to unite diverse stakeholders, build strong systems, and lead teams through meaningful change.
Anne’s leadership is marked by clarity, empathy, and a deep commitment to serving students and families. She is a trusted change leader who brings together instructional and operational teams, strengthens communication, and ensures that every system ultimately supports excellent teaching and learning. With an MBA from the University of Dayton and a career defined by mission‑driven work, Anne brings both strategic vision and hands‑on expertise to the Head of School role, creating environments where students thrive, staff feel supported, and communities grow stronger.
